Chris Roe Racing is built on more than five decades of family tradition, competition and passion for drag racing.

The team's story began in 1970 when Mike Roe, Chris' father, purchased a 1970 Ford Torino Super Cobra Jet and began competing in bracket racing. Over the next several decades, Mike established himself as a formidable competitor, earning 27 bracket race victories, three Maryland State Championships and two Delaware State Championships.

In 1988, Mike expanded his racing program into NHRA-sanctioned competition, campaigning in the Super Comp category. Five years later, he transitioned into a Super Comp dragster, laying the foundation for the next generation of the Roe racing legacy.

That next chapter began in 2005 when Chris Roe stepped into the driver's seat. After earning his licenses in both E.T. and Super Comp competition, Chris quickly became a familiar face on the NHRA circuit. One of the team's most memorable moments came in 2011 at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tennessee, where Chris and his crew advanced to the final three cars in competition. During the event, the team was recognized with the prestigious Best Appearing Crew Award, earning an NHRA Wally trophy. Chris Roe Racing's success and professionalism also led to multiple features in NHRA National Dragster magazine.

In 2012, Chris moved into the highly competitive NHRA Top Dragster category. While the team enjoyed success, competing without major sponsorship support ultimately led to a strategic shift in direction.

By 2014, Chris Roe Racing transitioned to the rapidly growing world of big-money bracket racing. The move paid immediate dividends, including a runner-up finish at the Fun in the Sun $10,000 race in Bradenton, Florida. The team's momentum continued in 2017 when Chris captured victory at the Super 7 Series $15,000 race during Labor Day weekend.

Today, Chris Roe Racing competes at some of the nation's premier big-money bracket racing events while continuing to make its mark on the NHRA stage. In May 2026, Chris Roe earned a runner-up finish in Top Dragster at the NHRA South Georgia Nationals, held during the NHRA's 75th Anniversary season and the inaugural NHRA national event at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

Adding to the excitement, Chris was recently selected to pilot the legendary Stotts Ford Mustang GT500, proudly carrying the Right Trailers banner. The opportunity represents another major milestone in a career built on dedication, consistency and a lifelong passion for Ford performance and drag racing.

More than 50 years after Mike Roe first rolled to the starting line, the Roe family racing tradition continues to thrive. Guided by family values, competitive excellence and an unwavering commitment to the sport, Chris Roe Racing remains focused on building its legacy one pass at a time.
