GAINESVILLE, FL – Chris Roe, a Gainesville local, has been around race cars his whole life due to his father being a race car driver based out of Frederica, Delaware, but now is ready to share his race journey with the world. Roe is gearing up for his welcome back to the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) circuit after a few years away from the association.
What has Roe been up to in the few years away from the NHRA scene? He has been racing in the big money bracket racing circuit and was successful. He won the Bradenton, Florida Super 7 Series race in 2016 and was Runner up in Montgomery, Alabama in 2017. With his success in the big money bracket scene, he hopes to make a punch back in the NHRA scene.
Roe will be racing in the Top Dragster and Super Comp categories. It is rare to have a racer in both categories, but this guy not only has what it takes, but the passion. If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life right?
Roe’s comeback will start on the Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, FL at an NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Race Series race. Roe had much success in the NHRA scene prior to breaking out in the big money bracket scene and he hopes to make some noise now that he is back.
